New Product: Zipp 353 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake Wheels

This new wheelset is the result of the brand’s research into the desired qualities of versatility and speed. This wheelset merges Zipp’s two most advanced approaches: the “sawtooth” rim profile and Total System Efficiency technology.

With its 45 mm rim depth, the 353 NSW aims for speed by seeking the best aerodynamics and the best stability in crosswinds.

To date, the 353 NSW is Zipp’s lightest hookless tubeless wheelset.

Zipp’s use of hookless rims (right side) in the 353 NSW is an integral part of its manufacturing. Without hooks, the transition between the tire and the rim is smoother and more aero.

The 353 NSW uses Zipp’s Total System Efficiency (TSE) approach for wheel design, which aims to combat specific speed obstacles: wind resistance, gravity, and rolling resistance. The wheelset’s 25 mm internal width was chosen to use wider tubeless tires to increase grip, a key parameter with disc brakes. At the heart of the 353 NSW is the redesigned Cognition V2 hub with an updated mechanism for faster engagement, less friction, and improved durability.
