Technical support will be provided at RCS Sport events by the company’s technical services in Milan. Shimano Italy’s commitment to offering neutral race assistance stems from the desire to ensure that all riders can participate safely and successfully in races, particularly by effectively responding to technical issues.

A team of mechanics deployed in cars and on motorcycles will provide mobile assistance by following athletes on the road, while a team of mechanics positioned at specific points on the road will also provide technical support in case of mechanical difficulties.

Paolo Bellino, CEO and General Manager of RCS Sport: “Having a partner like Shimano at our races, with its history and experience gained in many important WorldTour races, means giving riders the guarantee of receiving first-class support in the event of an unexpected mechanical problem. Shimano is a globally recognized brand, and the blue cars and motorcycles, which stand out in the peloton, have always been a symbol of safety. We are confident that the riders and our races are in good hands.“

Eduardo Roldan, CEO of Shimano Italy: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with RCS Sport. With a continuous presence at top-level races such as the Giro d’Italia, we are able to demonstrate our commitment to facilitating the world. Class races excite fans and motivate new riders. When it is safer to do so, we look forward to meeting customers and consumers on the streets of Italy.“

Shimano will begin its 2021 season with RCS Sport at the Strade Bianche Eolo in Siena, this Saturday, March 6, 2021.
