POC launches its lightest-ever helmet with the Ventral Lite.

The Ventral Lite, the latest helmet in POC’s cycling range, is the lightest helmet the Swedish company has ever designed. Developed for cyclists who prioritize lightness and good ventilation above all else, the Ventral Lite was specifically created by engineers to combine lightness, safety, and performance, and has already received awards.

Speaking about the launch of the Ventral Lite, Oscar Huss, POC’s Head of Product, states: “We entered the cycling world in 2014 with the Octal. Our goal then was to combine safety and performance in a lightweight helmet. After extensive research and testing, the Octal equipped a professional team and quickly made a name for itself. Continuing to put safety at the heart of our efforts, we wanted to develop the characteristics of the Octal to go even further. The cyclist who digs deep on a climb or pedals in extreme heat knows how important the lightness, ventilation, and comfort of their helmet are, and that’s exactly what our new Ventral Lite helmet, our lightest ever, excels at.“

The Ventral Lite is inspired by the Octal and incorporates the main features of the Ventral Air. Every aspect, from its adjustment system to its liner and shell, has been meticulously thought out to offer the best in safety and protection, while remaining as light as possible. Its structure has been redesigned to use a different EPS density, and its PC shell has been designed with extreme precision. All of this results in a helmet that, in CE standard Medium size, weighs only 190 g, and in Small size barely 180 g.
