If you’re looking for a tire that won’t give you any trouble once mounted, the AW3 is it. The Hard-Case Lite and Hard-Case versions offer best-in-class puncture protection, a long-lasting tread pattern, and the right grip for fast, confident rides on any road, in any season.
The longevity and durability of the AW3 have long made it Bontrager’s most sought-after road tire. This new version of the AW3 will inspire even more confidence. The new AW3 range features a new version of the layer placed under the tread. It’s a woven nylon and aramid fiber that enhances protection while maintaining the ride qualities that the AW3 is known for.
The performance of the new AW3 Hard-Case Lite far exceeds that of its predecessor, as evidenced by its 78% superior puncture protection. This change in performance solidifies the AW3’s position among the best options on the road tire market in terms of durability. Wheel Energy, the industry benchmark for tire testing, confirmed these improvements in puncture protection in independent tests.
The new AW3 tires offer two levels of puncture protection: Hard-Case Lite, with a nylon/aramid layer under the tread to prevent punctures, and Hard-Case, which also has this layer under the tread, but with a bead-to-bead nylon ply for enhanced durability and puncture protection. Both levels of protection are available in a wide range of sizes (700×25, 700×28, 700×32, and 700×38) to promote speed and stability on any road or street. AW3 Hard-Case Lite models also feature reflective sidewalls for all sizes. All AW3 tires are made using the exclusive TR-Endurable compound, which exhibits excellent durability and longevity characteristics on any surface. The tread pattern is textured on the tire’s shoulder, while the center strip promotes rolling. These features ensure grip, cornering confidence, and speed.
Like all Bontrager tires, AW3 tires are backed by Bontrager’s unconditional guarantee, which gives cyclists a 30-day period to adopt their purchase. If they don’t like it, we’ll take it back. It’s that simple.
