A secret blend of liquid synthetic polymers gives Caffélatex a latex-like behavior, becoming solid when exposed to rapid evaporation, thus repairing punctures. The speed of puncture repair is particularly interesting for light tires or those with thin casings, making Caffélatex ideal for performance-oriented cyclists, whether on road or gravel. Caffélatex repairs punctures up to 3 mm (road tubeless tires).
Caffélatex sealant is very mobile, and a small amount is enough to effectively protect the entire inner surface of the tire. For example, the brand recommends using 30 ml for 700 x 25c tubeless tires, which is 1/3 the weight of a classic inner tube! The foaming behavior of the sealant is activated by the movement of the wheel.
Caffélatex, by transforming into foam, tends to fill the entire internal cavity of the tire, making it available and effective even when the puncture occurs on the sidewall. Caffélatex contains no ammonia or other aggressive chemicals: this characteristic also makes it the preferred sealant for cyclocross/tubular applications, causing no damage to latex inner tubes. Due to its synthetic formula, it does not cause reactions in people allergic to natural latex or rubber products.
