With the Life-e smart electric mobility program and the new e-Omnia range, Bianchi, a historic brand that over more than 130 years of history has taken part in the evolution of the bicycle in all its forms, is relying on the ABS from Blubrake, the Italian company, a benchmark for the development of high-tech products for electric bikes.

With the unveiling of the innovative e-Omnia platform, the new family of high-performance electric bikes, Bianchi and Blubrake are following a strategic line that sees them united in contributing, each with their own products, to the mobility of the future, geared toward sustainability and safety. And it is precisely from the shared interests of Blubrake and Bianchi that an entirely Italian collaboration was born to create a new way of experiencing pedal-assist bikes by combining safety and performance.
Blubrake ABS will be available on all e-Omnia X and Type FX and T and Type FT models, that is, all the electric touring bikes and mountain bikes in the new range, and can already be ordered on the bianchi.com/e-omnia website
Blubrake’s guiding principle is to favor the use of light electric vehicles, ensuring safety levels comparable to those of other motor vehicles, for more sustainable and environmentally friendly future mobility. That is why Blubrake has developed an anti-lock system for the front wheel that prevents loss of control of the vehicle under sudden braking and is able to provide a safe and enjoyable riding experience. The system is fully integrated into the frame and preserves the manufacturer’s design and styling choices, just as in the new electric bikes of Bianchi’s e-Omnia family.

The partnership between the two brands stems from shared values and common goals that can be summed up in three key principles: safety, innovation and attention to detail.
“ Blubrake ABS is not just a system that prevents the front wheel from locking and ensures smoother, less abrupt braking, but a technology that, thanks to its function, is able to provide a safer and more enjoyable riding experience, giving every cyclist, even the least experienced, maximum peace of mind when using the vehicle ” – commented Fabio Todeschini, founder and CEO of Blubrake.
Founded in Milan in 2015, Blubrake benefits from numerous international collaborations, including the one with the Cycleurope group, which led in 2019 to the launch of the Crescent Ellie 7-VXL ABS, the world’s first electric city bike with integrated ABS and winner of GoExpo’s bike of the year award. The success of the operation led to the consolidation of the collaboration between
Blubrake and the Cycleurope group, up to Bianchi’s decision to adopt Blubrake ABS on five models of the newest member of the e-Omnia family.
Blubrake ABS, which comes from long experience in Formula 1 and MotoGP, aims to apply the most sophisticated technologies of the automotive world to electric bikes, to give cyclists the same braking experience and the same safety that any driver or motorcyclist can enjoy every day.
In addition, thanks to sophisticated patented algorithms, the system is able to predict the dynamics on different terrains, even the slipperiest or those with less traction, making it a trusted companion and a pleasant discovery even off-road, which is why Bianchi has decided to fit the system on different types of electric mountain bikes and touring bikes.
