The AURUM Bikes Magma 2021 version of the EOLO-KOMETA team

In 2021, the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team will ride AURUM Bikes, the brand launched in 2020 by Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso. The versatile AURUM Magma, the only model in the collection, will be available this season to the riders of the Spanish UCI Pro Team. In 2021, Eolo-Kometa team riders will ride this AURUM Bikes Magma.

After completing its final development phases in training and competitions alongside the U23 riders of the Fundacion Contador, AURUM Bikes, the brand launched in 2020 by Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso, will provide its cycling support to the Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team for the 2021 season. The riders of the Spanish team, which competes in the Pro Team category and is a strong candidate for a WildCard for the next Giro, will ride a Magma, the first model in the AURUM collection presented last September.

The Eolo-Kometa team’s AURUM Magma is equipped with a SRAM Red eTap AXS drivetrain, with disc brakes (the model only exists with this type of braking). ENVE is the partner for the wheels (with a choice of ENVE SES 5.6 Disc 54mm front/63mm rear and SES 3.4 Disc 38mm front/42mm rear, paired with Vittoria Corsa Graphene 2.0 tubulars) as well as for components such as the handlebar (ENVE Road Compact Carbon with AURUM Experience 3mm bar tape), stem (ENVE Road Carbon) and seatpost (ENVE Carbon).

For saddles, the Italian firm Prologo supports the riders of the Spanish team, with a Prologo Scratch M5 Nack model here. LOOK is the technical partner for pedals with Kéo Blade Carbon Ceramic, and AURUM Experience bottle cages complete the range of peripherals.
