In this Olympic year, Cervélo is pleased to announce the signing of Léo Bergère, a 24-year-old French triathlete, for a period of two years. With a French Sprint Championship title in 2020, a third place in the individual WTS World Championship, and a WTS team World Championship title, he is one of the most promising Short Distance triathletes on the professional circuit.

Now equipped with the “already” legendary S5, Léo is eager to line up for the first international competitions of the season, and has made the Tokyo 2021 Olympics his major objective.

“Riding a Cervélo has always been a childhood dream. Today, it’s becoming a reality. In this Olympic year, it’s the best way to start a new season! A beautiful new chapter is opening. The S5 is undoubtedly the fastest bike I’ve ever ridden. It’s a little bomb, both on flat sections and on climbs where you need to put in more speed. I can’t wait to test it in a race!”

For Cervélo, the signing of Léo Bergère comes at a perfect time, only a few months after the opening of the French subsidiary in Privas. “It’s a source of pride to have signed an athlete like Léo,” emphasizes Julien Chauveau, the brand’s Marketing Manager for the French-speaking market. “At just 24 years old, Léo has already built up an impressive track record, and we sense a great motivation in him for the years to come. It’s very promising!“

This new partnership clearly displays the ambitions of both parties. For one, to win an Olympic medal, for the other to increase brand awareness. See you at the next races!
