The organizers of the Cannes International Triathlon 2021 are offering a new format that is closer to the Olympic distance with 1 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling, and 8 km of running. For the weekend of April 24 and 25, 2021, triathletes will thus have a choice of three formats, as the flagship long-distance event (2-107-16) and the Aquathlon S (1-4) are still on the program. Registrations are open.

For the swim, participants will start from the West Cove of “Bijou Plage”, in front of Palm Beach, to complete a 1,000 m loop. They will exit via the East Cove, climb stairs (10 steps) to reach the bike park.

The 42 km bike course will then run along the mythical Bay of Cannes to Théoule-sur-Mer, then take the sumptuous Corniche de l’Estérel road, with a U-turn at Le Trayas. An ultra-fast out-and-back circuit, constantly along the seaside, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, especially from the exit of Théoule-sur-Mer where the road will rise slightly. Regarding elevation: only 300 m, including two easy climbs of about 2 km each.

To finish, Port Pierre Canto, located east of Cannes in the Pointe Croisette district, will serve as the setting for the run. Participants will need to complete two 4 km loops to achieve a ranking or simply earn the 2021 finisher medal.
Registrations for this new course are already open: €80 until December 31, 2020, €90 until February 28, 2021, and €100 until April 23, 2021.
