Anticipated every year by fans, observers, and riders, the new B&B HOTELS p/b KTM jersey shows the club’s evolution while remaining faithful to the codes and philosophy of the Men in Glaz. Creative, harmonious, and resolutely Glaz, the team’s lucky color and symbolic of its region, Brittany.

“Honestly, it’s the most successful jersey I’ve ever worn. It’s beautiful, clean, the sponsors are clearly visible… The result is sublime and it will push us to wear it proudly. Our jersey is our second skin, the uniform we’ll wear more than three hundred days a year. It’s a bit like our ceremonial attire, and this one is resplendent!” On the eve of his fifteenth season in the professional peloton, Pierre Rolland is charmed by his 2021 kit, made by equipment supplier Noret and designed by Franz-Renan Joly, the Men in Glaz designer since the club’s inception four years ago.

Glaz, black, and white, the newcomer is the fruit of a meeting between Armor and Argoat, the Breton coast and the interior of the territory. A bold blend perfectly embraced by its creator. “After an initial three-year cycle,” explains Franz-Renan Joly, “the club decided to call upon its community, Breton supporters and partners, to continue its growth. It was the perfect opportunity to evolve its visual identity and further highlight its belonging to the Brittany region.” Present since the club’s creation, the furrows symbolizing agriculture and its richness have transformed, fractured, and now intertwine to evoke the diversity of landscapes in the countryside. These black patterns now coexist with white curves evoking the sea – the Ocean, more precisely – transformed into foam against the coastal rocks or on the beaches of Morbihan and elsewhere. “The black dots that complete this patchwork are the fruit of my emotions,” continues the graphic designer. “A kind of effervescence because everything collides. Like the remnants of a squall explained by the total creative freedom I benefited from. I hope the result will live up to expectations.”

After receiving a unanimously enthusiastic welcome from the riders, a true baptism of fire for any new kit, the 2021 jersey made a detour to the commune of Grand-Champ for a photoshoot true to its DNA. At the heart of Villa Gregam, a center dedicated to culture in all its forms, the 2021 B&B HOTELS p/b KTM jersey blended into a decor created from scratch by two resident artists. Karim Manaï and Pierre-Antoine, a plastic artist and painter respectively, drew inspiration from the jersey’s creator to set up a street art universe with Glaz graffiti, a rococo armchair, and an extraordinary collection of 80s Ghetto-Blasters, for a thunderous result. “The exercise was new for the artists,” confides Thi Thaï Nguyen, coordinator of Villa Gregam. “The world of sport, cycling in particular, is foreign to them, and it was interesting to cross these universes that would never have met without this initiative. The challenge was to capture the club’s philosophy, its values, and to stage the place without betraying its spirit. The work of everyone involved allowed us to break codes and social and disciplinary boundaries.”
