Up to 220 km of range with the BH Core Carbon e-bike

The Unlimited Cycling concept, which is the very essence of the BH Core range, has reached a new dimension. In addition to its impressive level of integration, its build quality comparable to high-end road models, and the genuine sensations provided by a traditional bike, it is now possible to achieve a range of up to 220 km. The BH Core range was launched last season, raising the bar for the lightweight e-bike segment to a higher level. It was launched with the stated aim of providing the same feel as traditional road bikes, but with the advantages of an e-bike. Its weight, starting from just 12.6 kg, its carbon frame benefiting from the same technology as the recently launched BH RS1, and its range of up to 220 km are its most remarkable features.

New XPro additional battery

The BH Core’s 540Wh battery is housed in its frame with an unprecedented level of integration. By achieving a high energy density (234Wh/kg), BH has managed to place the battery in a small space. A key factor for its look, which is very similar to that of the RS1. In this configuration, it offers a range of up to 165 km.

But you can go even further. Thanks to the Xpro additional battery, you will benefit from an extra 180Wh, providing the BH Core with a total power of 720Wh, and extending its maximum range to 220 km. This is possible thanks to a bottle-shaped battery with a Plug & Ride connection. No need to connect anything. Just insert the battery into the bottle cage and you’re good to go! When not used for this, it’s a perfectly normal bottle cage that can hold a classic water bottle.

The BH 2ESMAG motor

The BH 2ESMAG motor is the essential element for the natural pedaling sensations provided by the BH Core. Extremely lightweight: 300 grams lighter than its predecessor, thanks to the use of magnesium, it weighs only 2.2 kg. Torquey: with a maximum torque of 65Nm. Compact: it allows for a low Q-factor of 163 mm, which is very similar to what you’ll find on classic road bikes. It is silent, and its positioning, in the lowest and most central part of the bike possible, helps to increase stability and offer excellent agility. BH has also achieved a low level of internal friction, which is essential for an electric road bike.

Connection to Core and Garmin apps

The Core display is minimalist and fully integrated into the stem. Its central button allows you to switch between 4 assistance modes, and its colored LED lights visually indicate the battery charge level and the current mode in use. Furthermore, with the Core app, you can customize power and acceleration settings on your smartphone. The integrated ANT+ receiver allows you to use a Garmin device to display all the information you need while riding, such as battery level, cadence, assistance level, and range.

Aerodynamic, lightweight, and with invisible integration

The BH Core Carbon uses all the technology developed to create the bikes used by BH teams and their riders in the world’s toughest races. The same Toray carbon fiber and HCIM manufacturing process are used to produce a frame/fork set that weighs only 1370 grams. BH has also paid particular attention to aerodynamics, and everything the brand learned from the RS1’s Kamm Tail tubes has been applied to the BH Core Carbon.

Integration is another key point. Not a single cable is visible, as they are routed internally from the handlebars thanks to the ACR system. It also features a new seatpost clamp with an integrated double screw and thru-axle hubs that conceal the wheel quick release lever, giving it an extremely clean design. All these features aim to give the BH Core Carbon the look of a true traditional road bike.

5 standard colors and 32,000 combinations for customization

Five base colors are offered in the BH Core Carbon range. All five models are also eligible for the BH Unique customization program, which means you can easily, using the online configurator, fully customize its look thanks to 32,000 possible color combinations.

The BH Core Carbon range consists of five models, two developed for Gravel and three for road use, starting from €5499.
