A few months after the cancellation of the 33rd edition of the Audencia – La Baule triathlon, due to the uncertain sporting environment linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, the event’s organizing committee has announced the next official dates. In 2021, the 34th edition of the Audencia – La Baule triathlon will take place on the weekend of September 18 and 19, provided that the health and sporting situation allows it.

Since its creation in 1988, the Audencia – La Baule triathlon has become an emblematic event for enthusiasts of all levels and ages. The enthusiasm for this event, organized mainly by Audencia students, has intensified over the years. While the 33rd edition was canceled last June, in a particular context linked to the current health crisis, the official dates are now known: the 34th edition of the Audencia – La Baule Triathlon will therefore be organized on September 18 and 19, 2021, on the La Baule embankment. The next edition of the event will take place on the announced dates, provided that the health and sporting situation allows it next year.

This is the main concern for Hervé Delaunay, the Director of the Audencia – La Baule Triathlon. “The cancellation of the 2020 edition of the Triathlon was a collegial decision adapted to the health situation we were going through. It was inevitably a blow for the organizing committee and the students who had been working for months on setting up this event. We are looking forward to the next edition with the desire to rediscover the adrenaline of the weekend, the sporting performances, the sharing and the emulation that punctuate these two days of competitions. Today, the sporting landscape remains uncertain, but we will work hand in hand with the various decision-makers, our service providers and all our partners to offer a very beautiful 34th edition in this magnificent bay of La Baule.”
