POLAR Launches the Vantage V2, an Evolution of Its High-End Multisport Watch

Polar, a specialist in sports and fitness technology for over 40 years, unveils its new lightweight, high-end multisport watch: the Vantage V2. With the help of world-renowned Finnish professional racing driver Valtteri Bottas and French Olympic distance triathlete Cassandre Beaugrand to test its new flagship product, Polar has created its ultimate watch, a model of precision for smart and efficient training.

Two years after its launch, the Vantage V is back in a new V2 version, even more connected and focused on recovery and training optimization for improved performance.

The new flagship of the famous Finnish brand captures signals from the body to provide a complete overview and essential data for intelligent training planning and optimal recovery. Convinced that progress comes from knowledge and that achieving goals is a matter of balance between training and recovery, Polar asked Valtteri Bottas to test its watch in real conditions. With the intensity of the season and the repetition of car races, it seemed essential to give Valtteri a tool to optimize his training and recovery.

“Finding time to train, while knowing that recovery and sleep are the secret weapons to improve performance, can become a real challenge when you have a very active life. Therefore, equipping yourself with the data and tools you need for smarter and more efficient training becomes crucial, and that’s where the Polar Vantage V2 comes into its own,” he said.

Polar also allowed Cassandre Beaugrand, a professional Olympic distance triathlete, to test the new Polar Vantage V2 in preview. Here is her initial feedback: “As a triathlete, the ultimate challenge is to balance the different training phases and optimize recovery. With up to three training sessions a day, recovery is a crucial parameter to know to ensure I’m ready when training gets intense. The Polar Vantage V2 helps me fully understand the load of each workout and allows me to analyze how my body recovers between sessions. Knowing yourself is essential to progress day after day.”

The Vantage V2 retains its original premium design but benefits from a slight weight reduction, weighing in at 52 grams.

To make every minute count, the Polar Vantage V2 optimizes training efforts across all sports, thanks to Polar’s sports expertise concentrated in a single product and the addition of exciting new features that:

  • personalize heart rate, speed, and power zones (i.e., the work done by your muscles during your training) with the new Running Performance and Cycling Performance tests, making it easier than ever to track your progress;
Numerous pieces of information are available on each screen, but they remain legible thanks to good prioritization in terms of colors and sizes.
  • optimize training with the new Leg Recovery test, which can be performed without an additional sensor, and complements already widely used and appreciated features such as Training Load Pro and Recovery Pro, which help users understand how the body responds to training and when the user is ready to move to the next level.
Two days of weather forecasts available on your wrist.
  • give you free access to the vast yet easy-to-use Polar Flow ecosystem, with tools for planning and tracking your training, activity, and sleep. This includes the new Test Hub, which gathers all your test data in one place to facilitate analysis and give you a better insight into your progress.
