MET gives its Rivale helmet a facelift. Available with or without MIPS enhanced safety technology, the new MET Rivale has been redesigned to be more ventilated and more aero. Touted as safer, more comfortable, and more efficient, it is compact, weighing 250g for the MIPS version (size M), and it comes at a reasonable price (€150 with MIPS system, €130 for the classic version).

“Safer, more comfortable, more efficient.” This is how MET presents the new version of its Rivale helmet, available in two configurations: equipped with the MIPS enhanced safety system, or not. For over 30 years, MET has been creating iconic designs with the aim of improving the cycling experience. The all-new MET Rivale MIPS is made to leave a lasting impression and offer cyclists an aggressive and distinguished style.
With its MIPS technology, the MET Rivale MIPS combines excellent value for money and all the benefits of brain protection against rotational forces. MIPS is developed to add at least 10% additional safety in certain impacts compared to a standard construction.
The all-new MET Rivale MIPS is an evolution of the external design and a revolution of the internal shape. Compact on the head, it provides unfailing comfort, especially during the longest rides.
Comfort and retention are intended to be equally effective. Thanks to its new Safe-T Upsilon retention system, the helmet is stable on the head. The 360° belt ensures that no pressure points will be applied to the skull, and its vertical adjustment provides perfect adaptability.
The front of the helmet is designed with wider and longer vents that increase ventilation and can securely store your sunglasses. These front vents work in synergy with the internal channels and NACA ventilation to keep the head cool in all circumstances.
The rear of the new MET Rivale MIPS features MET’s distinctive style, particularly thanks to its NACA vent working in conjunction with the lower tube-shaped profile. This makes the MET Rivale MIPS more aerodynamic and more ventilated than its predecessor.
As a technical partner of the professional UAE Team Emirates, MET advises to keep an eye out on September 15th during the 16th stage of the Tour de France… the team led by Tadej Pogacar is expected to wear an exclusive edition of the new MET Rivale MIPS.
