L’Étape du Tour 2020 cancelled and postponed to 2021

The 2020 L’Étape du Tour sportive, initially postponed to September 6 in Nice, is now expected to finally take place in early July 2021.

Tough times for cyclists! After many other events, it is now the turn of the famous Étape du Tour to be cancelled in 2020 and put back to the following year.

To justify this postponement, the organizer Amaury Sport Organisation, in agreement with the city of Nice, points to the difficulty many participants would have in being available on September 6, but also, and above all, for foreign riders to be able to plan to travel by then, given the health situation.

The event should therefore take place on the same course, but in early July 2021. It was originally scheduled for July 5, 2020.
