All systems go for the 33rd edition of the Gérardmer Triathlon. After an unprecedented epidemic, the Vosges triathlon is full, with 4,600 competitors pushing their limits during a festive weekend in the heart of the Vosges nature, on September 5 and 6. The formats are open to all, with the exception of the Super G: this new Super Sprint event, reserved for 40 professional triathletes (men and women), will make its debut on Saturday evening.
Safety for all, above all
After several months of restrictions linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, sport is gradually resuming its rights. In accordance with the recent declarations of the Minister of Sports and with the agreement of the prefecture, the Gérardmer Triathlon will take place as planned on September 5 and 6. Mass starts are, in principle, authorized. The organizer remains vigilant and will take all necessary precautions for the safety of the runners, spectators, and all persons involved in the organization.
New: the Super G
The Super G presented by Herbalife Nutrition & Petit Meunier makes its debut this year in the Vosges. Reserved for about forty professional triathletes (list to be communicated later), this Super Sprint format race promises to be spectacular. The event will be broadcast live on La Chaîne L’Equipe (subject to programming confirmation). All Super G pros will be at the start of the Olympic Distance Triathlon on Sunday.
