PRO and RSL (Race Shop Limited) versions for the new 37mm Bontrager Aeolus rims.

Following the presentation of its new Emonda SL and SLR models, Trek unveiled its brand new range of Bontrager Aeolus wheels, “designed to offer the optimal lightness of carbon wheels to every cyclist, from professional racers to weekend adventurers“.

The new Bontrager Aeolus RSL, Pro, and Elite rims are divided into three range levels and are adapted to Tubeless technology.

The new Aeolus wheels are manufactured using Bontrager’s advanced OCLV carbon layup process. Stable and proven, the Aeolus models aim to offer “free speed without added weight“. The new Aeolus carbon wheel models are available in three levels to offer riders more options in terms of performance and pricing: Aeolus RSL (Race Shop Limited), Aeolus Pro, and Aeolus Elite.

The new Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 TLR wheels: 1,325 g per pair.

Made from Bontrager’s finest OCLV carbon, the ultra-light 37mm deep Aeolus RSL 37 TLR wheels (1,325g per pair) feature an entirely new rim shape, with the aim of making them “faster than deeper wheels, and lighter than shallower wheels while maintaining the same stability“. Compared to their predecessors, the new shape is 30% deeper. Thus, Trek claims wheels that are “11% faster than before“, and “55 g lighter than previous models“.

The new Bontrager Aeolus RSL, Pro, and Elite wheels are based on a new rim shape.

“We designed and manufactured the Aeolus RSL 37 for the professionals of the Trek – Segafredo team“, said Graham Wilhelm, Director of Wheels and Tires at Bontrager. “These are racing wheels par excellence: they are the lightest aerodynamic carbon road wheels ever designed, bringing speed and confidence to every bike ride“.

1,505 g per pair for the Aeolus Pro 37 wheels, benefiting from the latest technologies but at a more accessible price than the high-end/competition RSL (Race Shop Limited) version.

With the same entirely new rim shape and design as the RSL model, the Aeolus Pro 37 TLR also provides the latest advances in technology, speed, and weight at a more contained retail price.

1,665 g per pair for the new Bontrager Aeolus Elite 35 wheels.

The Aeolus Elite 35 and Elite 50 models complete the new range. These high-quality, high-performance wheels are designed with fast and proven D3 shapes, offering more riders access to the “lightness, look, and responsive ride of carbon wheels“. Aeolus Elite wheels are available with rim depths of 35 mm and 50 mm.

50mm rim depth and 1,750 g per pair for the Bontrager Aeolus Elite 50 wheels.

Like all Bontrager carbon wheels, the entire Aeolus range is guaranteed for life. In addition, they are covered by the Carbon Care program: specifically, if the cyclist damages their wheels while using them within the first two years of purchase, Bontrager will replace them. The new Aeolus wheels are available now through Trek’s global network of dealers and online at trekbikes.com in select countries.
