With 50 million athletes and 3 billion activities recorded since its creation, Strava has unique knowledge of the best places in the world for running and cycling outings. Strava is relying on its community to launch “Routes,” the tool runners and cyclists have been eagerly awaiting.

With “Routes,” athletes who have subscribed to Strava will be able to choose a starting point, a distance, an elevation gain, an activity type, and a surface type to be offered three custom routes containing several types of information:
– A personalized estimate of the outing’s duration based on the athlete’s recent paces,
– Details on elevation gain and changes in surface types,
– The most popular routes used by the community thanks to the heatmap.
As explained on the Strava blog, now is not the time to hit the trails. However, this new feature already allows you to prepare your next rides and explorations once the crisis is behind us.
Also, to keep their sports goals in sight and stay motivated together, Strava has launched the Telesport challenge, counting indoor activities only: rowing, virtual running, CrossFit, weight training, stair climber, virtual cycling, and yoga… From March 30 to April 12, participants will aim to accumulate 4 indoor sports sessions per week for 2 weeks. 15,000 Strava athletes have already responded and are preparing to reinvest in their indoor training.
