TRIATHLON – Coronavirus: Cannes International Triathlon 2020 Canceled

Due to the measures announced yesterday by the President of the Republic and today by the government to slow the spread of the Coronavirus Covid-19 and protect the population, the 7th edition of the Cannes International Triathlon, which was scheduled to take place on April 26, is officially canceled.

Organizer’s statement:

“Given the situation related to the Coronavirus epidemic affecting the entire world and particularly our country, in agreement with the City of Cannes, the Cannes International Triathlon organizing team regrets to inform you of the cancellation of the 2020 edition.

Please believe that we have made every effort to maintain this event.
Nevertheless, everyone’s health must remain our priority. Government directives and the resulting health restrictions leave us no choice.

One month before the race, the majority of investments have been made and large sums have been committed. Despite this, we have decided to offer you the following options:

– Transfer your registration to the 2021 edition which will take place on SUNDAY, APRIL 25.
– Refund 40% of your registration fees (excluding Active).
– Refund 100% of your registration fees (excluding Active) if you purchased cancellation insurance.

You will soon receive a confirmation email of this proposal from the Active platform. “
