While the 5th edition of the Alpsman Xtrem Triathlon (Ironman distance) has been sold out since last December (500 bibs), the organizers have unveiled a brand new format with the “Alpsman Half Triathlon” which will be held, like its big brother, on Saturday, June 6, 2020. A “half” course, certainly, but a very challenging one (mountain passes and trail!) to stay true to the Alpsman DNA.

Swim: 1.9 km swim starting from Saint-Jorioz beach, but without a boat start like on the Xtrem. 2 loops of 950 m in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy with an Australian exit.
Bike: 100 km bike ride in the Bauges Regional Park. The Col de Leschaux, then the Col de Plainpalais, and finally the Col des Prés will have to be climbed, for a total of 2,400 m of positive elevation gain.
Run: a steep climb from Saint-Jorioz to the summit of Semnoz on a trail with 1,300 m D+ over 16 km to reach the “roof” of Annecy at an altitude of 1,699 m.
See the 3D course HERE!
| Registrations are already open and limited to 500 bibs. Price: €110 until April 1, 2020, then €130 Information: www.alps-man.com |
