For 2020, world champion Annemiek van Vleuten (Mitchelton – Scott) gets a custom Addict RC. With a subtle, but magnificent, presence of rainbow colors.

2019 was a fabulous year for the Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten. After victories in Monuments like Liège – Bastogne – Liège and multi-day stage races like the Giro, Annemiek van Vleuten became road world champion at the end of September in Great Britain, after riding 105 km solo. An incredible feat.

Such a victory deserved a special bike for the 2020 season. The Dutch rider will be equipped with a bike and clothing set matching her rainbow jersey. She will start her season with her custom equipment at the end of February, before certainly embarking on an incredible 2020 season.

The Design

SCOTT created a special world champion design highlighting her incredible performance in Great Britain while drawing on her Dutch roots. Throughout the bike, you will find clues to her origins, such as a windmill and tulips, as well as details of her 105 km solo attack and the place where she won her world championship, Yorkshire.

At first glance, the bike is subtle with the illusion of a simple black frame and a silver logo. However, under the light, the bike comes alive, reflecting colors that change from every angle. In essence, this machine speaks to the kind of athlete embodied by Annemiek van Vleuten, a humble but incredibly fierce competitor on the World Tour.

The Bike

The all-new Scott Addict RC is designed to meet the needs of the UCI World Tour and is used by the Mitchelton-SCOTT Team riders (men and women). Since its first appearance in 2008, the Addict RC has been one of the best-performing race bikes on the market. For 2020, Scott has reached a new level of integration, improved aerodynamics, and increased stiffness while being significantly lighter.
