The Orbea Orca OMX of the Fundacion Euskadi Team

The Basque team, heir to the famous Euskaltel-Euskadi team of the 2000s, will leave the Continental team ranks to join the second division in 2020, integrating the UCI Pro Team (formerly Continental Pro). The team will be equipped with the new Orbea Orca OMX, with new colors.

Still chaired by Mikel Landa himself (who continues his career under the colors of the World Tour Barhein – Merida team), the Fundacion Euskadi will pursue its objective of promoting Basque cycling and its surroundings, by giving promising young riders a chance. 20 riders will make up the roster in 2020, including 19 Spaniards and one Bulgarian.

Once considered as a title sponsor, equipment manufacturer Orbea will provide the bikes. For this occasion, the Basque brand has created a specific design, which features the famous orange and black colors.

The bikes will be equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 Disc, with Vision Metron wheels with Vittoria tubulars, and Prologo saddles.

Finally, the brand is expected to announce tomorrow the name of a new ambassador, in the person of a great Spanish champion of recent years.
