Warren Barguil’s new Canyon Ultimate for 2020 –

On the occasion of the announcement of the two-year partnership between Canyon and Arkéa – Samsic, the brand unveiled one of the bikes that Warren Barguil will use for the 2020 season. The French champion, Nairo Quintana, Nacer Bouhanni and their teammates will ride bikes from the German manufacturer, and will benefit from the brand’s high-end models: Ultimate, Aeroad and Speedmax CF SLX for time trials.

As of January 1, 2020, Warren Barguil, Nairo Quintana, Nacer Bouhanni and their Arkéa – Samsic teammates will ride Canyon bikes. Emmanuel Hubert’s Breton team has indeed signed a two-year partnership with the German brand.

Canyon took the opportunity to present the Ultimate CF SLX version that Warren Barguil will be equipped with for the upcoming season. A special edition with specific decoration to honor the champion and his blue, white, and red jersey. A white frame (dirty but very classy), and two distinct tricolor accents, combining elegance and sobriety. With a unique and discreet marking on the top tube to recall the identity of its happy owner.

Warren Barguil’s Ultimate CF SLX is equipped here with a Shimano Dura Ace Di2 R9170 drivetrain. The Shimano Dura Ace C60 carbon disc wheels are fitted with Continental Competition tubulars. And the French champion rides with Shimano Dura Ace pedals.

The bike features a combination of 140mm rotors on the rear and 160mm on the front. The Ultimate CF SLX here relies on a Canyon VCLS 2.0 seatpost coupled with a Selle Italia saddle, in this case a Novus (Arkéa-Samsic’s new saddle supplier, the choice of model belonging to the rider to meet their needs and specificities). The Ultimate CF SLX features a Canyon H11 CF Aerocockpit bar/stem combo.

While only the Arkéa-Samsic bike in its Ultimate CF SLX version (special French Champion edition) has been unveiled, the riders of Emmanuel Hubert’s team will be able to rely on the support in competition of other flagship models from the Canyon range, namely the Aeroad with its aerodynamic lines, and the “rocket” Speedmax for timed events. Canyon continues its history in cycling competition, and continues to support Nairo Quintana, a newcomer to the Breton team in 2020, whom the brand had already supported in recent years within Team Movistar. The Colombian should not be too disturbed regarding settings and equipment.
