By making this sale, Bkool will be able to refocus on what has been and is the most important part of its business, its cycling simulator. With nearly 100,000 active users last year and over 250,000 total users, the Bkool simulator is a platform with cyclists from all over the world, who upload content and participate in all kinds of virtual events.
Every year, more and more users use the Bkool simulator with indoor trainers from other brands, mainly Tacx, Wahoo, Elite, and Saris. By mobilizing all its resources in software development, Bkool seeks to grow faster through its platform and offer the best cycling simulation to any smart trainer user. Of course, it will continue to work on compatibility with Zycle indoor trainers in the future.
The development of this product is not new for Versa Design, which has been Bkool’s supplier for years for the industrial and electronic development of indoor trainers and smart bikes. Versa Design’s goal is to put all its experience in product development to become a manufacturer and market them under the Zycle brand.
“For Bkool, this agreement is essential to refocus on developing the best cycling simulator on the market,” says Wences Sevillano, CEO of Bkool. “We have more and more users using trainers from other brands in our simulator. Our future as a company is to offer the best simulation experience, no matter what trainer you own. And this agreement allows us to dedicate all our efforts to it, developing the best digital product for all types of cyclists.”
Juan Ramón Vadillo, the founder of Versa Design, discusses this agreement with Bkool in these terms: “We are excited about this new step for our company. Thanks to Zycle, we will not only ensure the continuity of the existing product range but also strengthen it with new technological products, maintaining compatibility with Bkool and reinforcing support with other simulators. Our industrial capacity will allow us to achieve technical excellence in products and thus satisfy an increasingly demanding clientele.”
