TRIATHLON – 2019 Ironman Hawaii: Laurent Jalabert’s bike

In three days, Laurent Jalabert will be at the start of the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii, where he will attempt to win the world title in his age group (50-54 years old). On this occasion, “Jaja” will ride a limited edition “Eruption” of his LOOK 796 Monoblade RS, with only 50 units available.

An ambassador for the French brand Look for many years, former cycling champion Laurent Jalabert, 50, won the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice in his age category a month ago.

For the second year in a row, the former winner of Milan-San Remo and La Flèche Wallonne will attempt this weekend to win the title over the Ironman’s ultimate distance, at the legendary Hawaii event.

For his participation in the event, the French brand Look has prepared a special bike for him, with a limited edition of the 796 Monoblade RS.

Laurent Jalabert is one of the best athletes of the century for Look and the entire cycling world. He embodies strength, courage, and tenacity in the hostile landscape of Kona. A metaphor for volcanic eruption, the matte bronze frame is accompanied by an exclusive tone-on-tone motif, representing the glowing clouds crossing the iconic geometry of the 796 Monoblade RS.

This ERUPTION frame, a limited edition of 50 numbered units, is complemented by a Look Aergo carbon time trial handlebar, a Zed 3 crankset, and an Aeropost seatpost. On the Kona volcano, Laurent Jalabert will ride the first unit of this edition.
