Manon Genêt took 4th place this Saturday at the Long Distance World Championships in Pontevedra (Spain). The title went to Belgian Alexandra Tondeur. In the men’s race, the French were no match for Javier Gomez, who was competing on home soil. The Galician won in 5h 05′, with the swim leg shortened due to cold weather (1.5 km instead of 3 km). The 120 km bike and 30 km run were still on the program. Anthony Costes finished 5th, Sébastien Fraysse 10th, and Cyril Viennot 18th.
