Unlucky yesterday after his flat tire prevented him from scoring points (only 1 point taken in the Eliminator event), Vincent Luis set things straight today in Singapore by masterfully winning the Enduro event ahead of Great Britain’s Jonny Brownlee and South Africa’s Henri Schoeman.
Thanks to the Briton’s second place, the Frenchman maintains a two-point lead in the general classification ahead of Henri Schoeman and thus wins this 1st edition of the Super League, 2018-2019 season. Jonathan Brownlee finishes 3rd in this classification. Also noteworthy is the 6th place overall for another Frenchman, young Léo Bergère.
While he did not compete in the cross-country season as he had done for the past three years, Vincent Luis is showing great form after his training camp in the Canary Islands. This bodes well before the resumption of the WTS world circuit in Abu Dhabi in three weeks.
Super League 2018-2019 final general classification:
1 Vincent Luis (Fra), 107 pts
2 Henri Schoeman (Afs), 105 pts
3 Jonathan Brownlee (Gbr), 96 pts
…
6 Léo Bergère (Fra), 52 pts
