TRIATHLON – Super League: Vincent Luis’ run of bad luck continues

Vincent Luis was a victim of a flat tire today in the eliminator event during the final stage of the Super League in Singapore, seeing his hopes of winning the overall general classification fade, despite his victories in the first 3 stages of the circuit (Jersey, Malta, and Mallorca). The victory went to Jonathan Brownlee. Léo Bergère finished 10th.

In the women’s race, Frenchwoman Cassandre Beaugrand took second place today, behind American Katie Zaferes. Léonie Périault was 4th.

Tomorrow, the athletes will line up for the ultimate event of the weekend, the enduro race, three triathlons consisting of 300m swim, 5km bike, and 2km run, to be completed three times in a row.
