TRIATHLON – 7 French athletes selected for the WTS opener –

With the World Triathlon Series opening in just over a month in Abu Dhabi on March 8-9, the French Triathlon Federation today revealed the names of the seven French athletes selected for this first stage. Unsurprisingly, they are Cassandre Beaugrand, Sandra Dodet, Léonie Périault for the women, and Léo Bergère, Dorian Coninx, Pierre Le Corre, and Vincent Luis for the men.

In 2018, on this same first stage of the world circuit, Vincent Luis made it onto the podium (3rd) just ahead of Léo Bergère (4th). Léonie Périault secured a Top 10 finish by taking 9th place.

This year, the Mixed Relay is on the program for this stage, an event in which the French particularly excel, being the reigning World and European Champions.
